Have you recently moved into one of the new homes on Mitchams Park? If so, we would love to hear how you’re getting on, and what you think of your new surroundings. Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
We would like to extend a huge welcome to the first residents of the new Mitchams Park. With just enough time to get settled before Christmas, all of us at KickstART hope that you love your brand new homes.
Some of you have already found the commemorative whistles placed in your homes at part of the new build. These beautiful, handmade ornaments produced by artist collective Liminal, represent a link to the site’s past as the beloved former ground of Cambridge City Football Club. They’re intended to be blown once a year on the Saturday closest to the 27th of April. On this day in 2013 the club played its last match at Mitchams Park.
There might not be a lot to see outside just yet, but come 2016, we have big plans for the public open space, including a specially designed interactive landscape, which you’ll be able to use for exercise, relaxation, or just for looking at. Our goal is to retain the spirit of Mitchams Park, and to give all of you the opportunity to enjoy your new surroundings to the absolute fullest.
Not aware of everything that’s being planned for the community? We recently did a comprehensive update on all of the KickstART projects coming to Mitchams Park in 2016 -you can read it here.
We hope that you’re enjoying your new homes, and wish you a fantastic Christmas and New Year.
